Corrugated Plate                  

This achievement makes GLP the World's leading manufacturer of Corrugated Plate. Our new process enables us to manufacture high quality corrugated plate of unlimited length thus removing the major welding process of joining the plates end to end to achieve the required length. The process is automatic and is therefore not labour intensive, as is the normal manufacturing process of limited length plates.
Also by removing the necessity for welds (which again reduces production labour requirements and thus the cost), the result is a much stronger product.

Corrugated Plate is a very efficient structure and finds wide application in engineering such as: mud-tanks walls in offshore oil-rigs/platforms, blast-walls in chemical plants, feed silos, steel retaining walls etc.

Corrugated web beams
Another clever design is using the Corrugated Plate as the web of a girder. These girders are called Corrugated Web Beams. A Corrugated Web Beam is a built-up girder with a thin-walled, corrugated web and plate flanges. In this case, the profiling of the web attributes to its high load-bearing capacity at low design weight, which represents a particular economical solution for wider spans.
